People who work in the South West’s creative industries are invited to meet new contacts and collaborators at a networking meeting in Bristol next month.
Creating Co-operatives: Starting a Co-operative in the Creative Industries is aimed at freelancers, practitioners, graduates or advisors who could benefit from working with other creative workers as part of a co-operative.
The workshop and networking event will help attendees find out about co-operatives, meet potential partners and get advice.
Delegates will hear from leading figures in the creative industries and co-operative sector, including Annie Warburton of Skillset South West, Jim Pettipher from Co-operative Futures and Ed Russell, of Co-operative Web.
Co-operatives are businesses that exist to serve their members, whether they are customers, employees or the local community. Co-operative members are also the owners of the company, and have an equal say in what the business does.
The event will be held at The Coach House, 2 Upper York Street, Bristol BS2 8QN from 12.30pm to 4.30pm on Wednesday, February 16.
